Greenwich is home to a variety of different iconic attractions such as the Cutty Sark and the Royal Observatory.

The Meridian line has been in Greenwich since 1884 after Greenwich won the Prize of Longitude 0 at the International Meridian Conference. This line represents more than just the history of Greenwich, but also the importance of Greenwich as an area within the world. Moreover, the Greenwich Meridian Line ties in with Greenwich Mean Time.

Overall, the Greenwich Meridian Line deserves a place within HoGBLOG as it remains one of the most recognisable landmarks associated with the area. Alongside this, the Greenwich Meridian Line ties in with both local and worldwide history. Greenwich’s relationship with time has been as vast as it has been consistent, and the Greenwich Meridian Line exemplifies this.
